The ideal candidate for this role should have a mix of marketing strategy, business development, relationship management and account management experience. The Business Development Analyst will work with the sales team to engage the company in sales opportunities. He/She will be responsible to build and develop client relationships, identify business opportunities, and assist with closing new business deals while maintaining an extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
Main responsibilities:
- Responsible for establishing, updating and monitoring news alerts on various clients and prospects using company tools and resources
- Partner with the sales team and the marketing manager to plan sales campaigns, lead generation and digital content
- Support the full sales cycle to attain new business: make introductory calls, assess business goals through qualifying, work with business owners and close the deal
- Support the implementation of strategies to efficiently expand current sales campaigns and scale new opportunities
- Proactive daily CRM input to manage and organize sales pipeline
- Manage external communications with both prospects and clients
- Develop strong familiarity with our internal systems to compliment external research for potential business opportunities
- High degree of understanding of select partners, practices, clients and prospects, as assigned, in order to be able to proactively identify business opportunities
- Monitor, review and report on sales campaigns and provide updates to leadership through ongoing forecasting, reporting and root cause analyses
Skills & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of business developing experience at startup/high growth technology companies
- Attention to details is a must
- Strong campaign and project management skill set
- Knowledge of how the overall Sales Cycle works
- Excellent research skills with strong intellectual curiosity
- Microsoft/google knowledge is required
- Strong PowerPoint skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Should demonstrate ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- BS degree in related field
- Experience in B2B technology / SaaS sales and marketing is a plus
- Workday knowledge is a plus
- Experience in CRM practices and principles, experience with Zoho is a plus
